# Audit logs

> Review audit logs to understand important activity in your Oculon workspace.

Audit logs help admins understand who changed what, when the change happened, and where follow-up is needed.

## What audit logs are useful for

* reviewing permission changes
* tracing updates to important planning assets
* supporting approval and governance workflows
* investigating unexpected behavior

## Use audit logs as part of normal operations

Do not wait for an incident to review activity. Regular log review helps teams catch process gaps earlier.

## Pair logs with ownership

An audit trail is most useful when the resource owner and the admin can both interpret what changed and whether the change was expected.
