# Members and roles

> Manage members, invitations, roles, and access inside your Oculon workspace.

Member and role management is the foundation of secure collaboration. You can access the workspace members list from the **Users** tab under the **Admin** section in Settings. (To open Settings, click your profile icon and select the **Settings** option).

## Managing members

From the members list, admins can:

* **Update user roles**: Change permissions for any member.
* **View group membership**: See which groups a user belongs to.
* **Remove members**: Revoke access to the workspace entirely.

### Workspace roles

Oculon uses two primary workspace-level roles:

* **Workspace Admin**: Full control over settings, members, and all workspace resources.
* **Workspace Member**: Standard access to create and collaborate on models and boards.

## Invite user flow

To bring new people into your workspace:

1. Click the **Invite Users** button.
2. **Enter email addresses**: You can invite one or multiple users by entering comma-separated email IDs.
3. **Choose access**: Select the appropriate access level from the dropdown menu.
4. **Submit**: Once submitted, these users will appear under a **Pending** status.

### Manage pending invites

Invitations remain pending until the user accepts the request. Admins can **revoke** an invite at any time before it is accepted if needs change.

## Keep roles simple

Use the smallest role set that still matches how your organization works. Too many slightly different roles are harder to audit and harder to explain.

## Prefer group-based scaling

When several people need the same access, place them in a group instead of managing every permission one by one.
